Edge question about idle

Guys this is what i got i got my edge on friday and programed towing and everything works great today i filled up with 93 and changed it to performance and if i am sitting at a light or in the driveway and it is in drive i get pulse you can see the tach moving about 200 rpm and hear the engine so i set it back to tow and all is fine anybody have this problem. any input would be great the only thing i change is my tire size and gearing.and i had about 3 gal of mix 93/87 in the tank when i filled up

Did you bump the timing to match your 93 octane???????

Did you do a custom tune?

If so what were your numbers?

I boubt if you have as to the fact you have to tune your vehicle 4 times to be able to but i thought i would ask.

Help me.... Help you

gearing to 3.55
tires to 2540
everything else is what edge set it at i did try to jump up the timing to 1 but it did not help so i set the timing back to 0 ( I have these settings on power level 2 and everything is fine for some reason when i go to power level 3 i get a pulse or a serge when at a light with the truck in gear.

If you got time try this. Go and set the edge to level 2 but bump the timing up 2.5. Are you sure you got good gas. Who did you buy it from. Positive its 93 octane? Try level 2 with the timnig adjusted and let me know. Then if it works i would try and bump the timing by 1.5 or 2 with level 3 just to see if it affects anyhting.

You got some low end gas. I would set it for level three and leave it untell your empty and then fill up again and try to advace the timeing.

je3169 youd shouldnt be having that problem at lvl3 at the stock performance lvl. I would either leave it at lvl2 since it runs ok at that lvl till you get low on gas and refill at a differant gas station and try lvl3 again.

Also like Adam06FX4 said check you updates. Also for kicks set everything back to default unplug "everything" and start over.

Also I wouldnt hessaite to call Edge for help. Also dont e-mail them they dont reply back to youll need to call them.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Update: I did an update on Staurday when i got it not sure what the problem was. Last night i set it back to level 2 after messing with the timing and this morning when i got in my truck i set it on level 3 changed my gears and tires and left everything else at what edge set them at and on the ride home it worked great i think i will wait till i use all the gas before i try messing with the timing (i only had about 3gal in the tank then filled up with mobil 93).

Thanks for all the help everybody and i have one more question what gas do you use.

John

If you have Shell in the area, try Shell 93. I have best luck with Shell. I run 93 with timing +1 and sometimes 1.5. I have not had any problems with Shell, Conoco or Texaco.

one other thing, i do bump my idle up to 800-850. Edge recommends 800 to 1000 for level 3.

I have had great luck with shell or cheveron. I prefer cheveron becuase of the additives they have.
