NPI to PI head tuning

Does anyone know if i do a NPI to PI head swap if i will need to get my truck tuned?

I get both awnsers and i want to know whats up for sure. Im planning on getting an Xcal2 but i want to do the head swap before i turn my sheets into TP and i cant afford to do them all at once. So i was hoping i could run my truck for a couple of months with out tuning. Is this possible?

This is something you definately need to go over with Mike.
Wheather it will be alright for a short time i dunno....i would think if you get tunes for PI heads when you have Non PI heads it would run rich most likely until the swap??Better call Mike for this one

I did this swap in a mustang a few years back and I ran it without tuning, but wouldn't recommend it. The car ran kind of funny without, and with the tune you will see the most gains. Looking back, I should have tuned the car as I ran the risk of running the car lean and burning up the motor.
