I have a 2006, 5.4L FX-4 and am looking to get some 33's installed soon. I drive alot of miles and I am curious whether this is worth the $450 for their product. Is the SuperChip Flashpaq worth the money? Will this really increase my fuel mileage? At almost 28,000 miles a year I might beinterested if it really works? I know it does many other things but this is my daily driver and I do not want to have any issues from screwing with the computer settings, is this thing reliable also?

yea i have an 06 5.4 FX4 also and 33'' inch tires i have the superchips installed and it does help on gas mileage but only if u dont have a heavy foot once u step on the gas ur gas mileage goes way down but jus normal driving its great on gas i recomend it

 

Thanks for the info. It seems very easy to install. Are you able to unplug the unit once you are finished calibrating everything or does it have to stay pluuged in? I drive fairly eas yon my truck so I hope that it will increase the mpg.

 

My brother and I both ordered from Troyer this past Monday. He got the Flashpaq for his 02 Tahoe and I ordered the XCal 2. His arrived today and we got right to work. It was very easy to use (so far we have only messed with the shift firmness) and he is very pleased with the results. I am in the process of filling out the forms for my programmer, and can't wait to get it in. Everyone at Troyer has been extremely helpful...I just hope that I can remain patient while waiting on it to get to me. I start a new job on Monday and my wife and I are just a few weeks away from our first baby, so I'm sure that I will stay busy enough to keep my mind off of it.

 

I have the Flashpaq on my F250 and love it. As far as "canned" tunes go, they are the best. They can be updated online and you can download different tunes based on your mods.
