Good to hear, I am eyeballing that programmer also. In my experience with diesels, Edge makes great stuff.

Hey guys im thinking of getting one also and was wondering. Does the unit tell you your miles per gallon? Also can this be changed to kilometers per gallon. Ohh and one last thing where is the best place to buy the edge as im in Canada and going to Arizona in september a mey pick it up there.
Also is it easy to install??

It does tell you your average and instant MPG's as well as a ton of other stuff. IF you guys want one i have one for the 1997-2003 4.6 and 5.4. The style with the gauges. I am going hte troyer stage 2 and cant use the edge any more. To many engine mods in the future.

 

Guess you guys all have the newer model. I wish i was that lucky.

Its not goign to matter where you buy it as your going to pay the same price. 449.10 Edge decided to make it mandatory to controll the product. YOur not goign to find a discount on it. THe best youll find is several places are offering overnight shipping to intice you to buy it from them. I think truckaddons.com does this. Not sure. Cant remember where i bgouaght mine. autoanything also offers the overnight(atleast when I bought it). I ordered it in the evening one day and the next afternoon I had it already! I love it!

 

Thanks guys will check out the sites you mentioned. I let one go on ebay for $310 as the guy said it was 2 months old. Damn i should have bid! Oh well wtf.

 

Keep searching craigslist also. I found mine for $300 after the mandatory $450 pricing and he gave me the recepit for it also. It was only 3 weeks old. the seller said he wanted to go to the Troyer tuning. I wanted gauging as well.

I think I will keep this vs going with a Troyer since I have the 4.6L and i don't think even a TT will get as much as I would like. I still like the 18 MPG's this thing has given me on LVL 2 now.

craigslist.org. Check it out. If your in a big area wehre there is a lot of people it can be pretty handy. I do a lot on there. 300 is a steal on ebay. WE all make some mistakes. LOL
