emission with xcal2

I know some were wondering if the truck would pass emission with xcal2, in performance mode. Well I got my truck inspected and emission done on my truck. I have xcal2 in performance mode and passed emissions. . I got the siso exhaust,Af1 3.5 and tuner.

Your lucky... lots of states hook up the OBDII and if the stock code isn't there they fail it automaticly. Sure glad I don't have emision checks where I am.... yet.....

Hold on there, that's not correct...............no emissions inspection has any such ability to connect to the OBD-II port and tell if the "stock code" is in there or not - no matter *what* state you are in. They do NOT have any ability whatsoever to see what is "in" the PCM in terms of what is actually in the tuning, they cannot see any of the parameters we change or it's tune revision - they cannot tell if the PCM was flashed, they cannot tell if the PCM was updated by a dealer, and they cannot tell if it was ever tuned - additionally, most of the shelf tuners are in fact CARB EO'd for 50 state emissios status! So for any number of reasons, that is simply not even remotely accurate information, just so you'll know.

When they connect to the OBD-II port they are doing the IM tests - they are looking for are failed emissions monitors & readiness tests primarily, along with obvious emissions-related fault codes - not what revision is in the PCM, they have no idea - additionally, just because a vehicle is tuned does NOT mean it's revision level has been changed at all.

We do not change things that cause vehicles to fail emissions tests in any state, as can be seen right here from the results of MANY people having them tested in every state and passing emissions with our tunes - in fact, when they actually sniff the exhaust, the engines usually run cleaner with our tuning then with the factory tuning.

That's the real scoop, my friend.

And thanks to 05extcabflare for postign that he passed emissions with flying colors with the 3.5" AF1, our tuning & the exhaust!!

Our bests to all,
