If he recieved it on May 26th, I'd give it a few more days until you decide to do something. Give the seller the benefit of the doubt, but if you have not received it by next Friday, you may be able to call authorities in his hometown. Also, you may be able to file a claim of mail fraud with the USPS. Just some ideas, but again, give it a couple more days first.

He states it was shipped June 1, by his best friend. He did not know how it was sent, he had been working long hours.......etc. He sat on it for one week...after being paid. Not very happy with this deal, I'll just have to wait it out.

No, If I remember my history, Turner Airfield closed around 1973. That would make it a little before my time...

I must be older than I think. I was at Turner in 64-65. SAC Combat Defense – Nuclear Security
Kept Georgia safe from the Communists lol

Used to love watching the 52's and 135's launch during a "Bar None" or ORI but hated the rest of the ORI

Who was it that you dealt with regarding your EDGE purchase? The reason I ask is I had the EXACT same thing happen with a guy name R.Buck but his "real" name was R. Kellough. My deal has been OVER 5 weeks with excuses like he was "out of town", he "moved", he had "been working long hours", etc. I froze my payment as I am waiting for him to get back to me, and it's about a week since we last spoke.

I dealt with that guy too. He tried selling me the edge for 200 shipped and I didnt send him the money because it seemed to good to be true. I told him I wouldnt send check or money order in case it was a fraud and he wouldnt set up paypal because he was afraid of identity theft.

Thats too bad guys. You need to be careful who you buy stuff from. For instance your prob better off not buying from someone with little posts or new members. Also protect yourself from getting ripped off, don't just hand your money over unless there is some way you will be protected!!

Although my first post was negative, I wanted to be sure my second was not. Thanks to Mike Hathaway in the classifieds (not sure of his screen name) for his EDGE. I received it yesterday after about 4 days of shipping and I just installed it. It's awesome!
Thanks again Mike.

So here's an update:

I finally received my money order in return. I had to threaten legal action and set a date to get it back. I sent the money order out and was received 25 May, It's now 13 June. He said he was busy, working long hours, his best friend mailed the programmer......the crap just keeps piling up.

Any rate, please inform and warn all about this guy, I have had three people tell me they had tried to buy the Edge from him and ran into problems. Here is his information. It was listed as user ID:

R. Buck

The money order was sent and returned from the same address.

Glad you got your money back. I've started to use Paypal exclusively when I have to send money to someone. Or get them to send it COD through UPS.

There's just not enough security when sending Money Orders. Good for you that it all worked out. This guy definately sounds like a scammer. If he's listing on our forum, maybe the webmaster can ban him.
