stage 2 or stage 5 package deal from troyer

Does anybody have either a stage 2 or 5 package from troyer for a 97-03 F-150? Wondering whether to go with stage 2 and maybe get a supercharger later or just save up and get the stage 5 which includes a supercharger. If you guys have any opinions on the matter please share. thanks

That's a huge difference in capital outlay, and at any rate, unless your rig has pretty low miles, and excellent care, you would be ill-advised to dump all of that into it. I just installed a stage 2 pkg. in my 03 offroad, and I love it. More isn't always better. My rig went from turd in a punchbowl to jackrabbit, and I'm still on 87 tow, so I know it will just get better when I switch to 92. I really want to hit the road for a long trip to see where my gas consumption goes. I was consistently at 18.7 avg. @ 65-73 mph with cruise. Best was 19.09 mpg., and that was bone-stock.:o

Hi CHris777888,

Well, I am going to sound like a bad salesman here perhaps, but my suggestion would be to go ahead and do the Stage 2 now, and then while you are enjoying that increase in performance, save up for the blower upgrade later.

That way you do not have to wait to save up thousands more dollars before you can enjoy *any* performance gain - instead, you get a very nice gain right now and then also get a big additional boost later on, when your budget can take it.

That's just my take on it, & I hope that helps a bit!
