Tunes installed

Well after 2 months of waiting my tunes came in the email today. Felt like it was Christmas time. :santa:

Took some time to read over everything to ensure I didn't mess anything up, miss any steps and finally load the tunes onto the Xcal II. Last step was to actually load the tune into the truck, I had just filled up with 87 so I loaded the 87 performance tune. Then it was time to take the truck for a 10 minute ride and man am I glad I went with the folks at Troyer. It's like a totally different truck in terms of acceleration and responsiveness. I don't really feel a difference in the shift firmness, but not really sure how it should feel.

The true test came when we went up this small hill where after the lift and new wheels, but before the Xcal the truck would do some gear searching trying to climb it. This time the truck was smooth and took the hill with no problems. Even my wife said she could tell the difference.

For anyone on the fence I'd highly recommend the Xcal II and Troyer tunes. The waiting is tough, but after my first ride the wait was worth it.

I think the reason mine and several others tunes took longer than normal was because Mike got several Rousch trucks about the same time we all put our orders in. Probably would have been the normal Troyer waiting time of 5 weeks otherwise. Get'em ordered and you could have them sooner than you think.
