Edged Now Truck Wont Start

I attempted making a custom tune today on my edge. I have done custom tunes since I bought the edge I did and do everything by the book and I didn't do anything different this time. Now that that is out of the way I made a custom level 2 tune to run off 93 octane instead of regular. I adjusted all of my usual specs tire size gear ratio speed limiter etc. Then I pushed done the edge read customizing (as usual) so I went inside for a 2 to 3 mins came outside and I noticed a clicking sound from under the hood I located the sound as relay number 301 (fuel pump relay) it was clicking almost like it was trying to engage but was stuck. So then I checked my edge it was finished with the program. So I tapped menu twice to get it back to my normal digital display screen and tried to start my truck and it kept turning over but it wouldn't start. So I figured it was a relay issue and that the truck wasn't getting fuel so I replaced the relay and no difference, except my edge was froze on the screen that reads "turn key on but do not start please wait while edge initializes". So I turned off the key unplugged the edge and plugged the edge again it turned back on never read the Hex file number and went back to its previously frozen state. I am stuck on this one any help will be deeply appreciated! Sorry about the novel length. lol

Yes I did they were closed. I would really think that they would have a 24 hour customer service.

The only time I have ever seen the screen that says Turn Key On But Do Not Start. Please Wait While Edge Initalizes is when I plugged the Edge in with the key off. It says something in the book that if you do that the Custom tuning may become F'd up.. Actually I just looked in my Edge box and on the piece of 5x5 paper it says:
**NOTICE**
The ignition key MUST be in the "ON" position when connecting the cable to the diagnostic port
Failure to do so may cause the "Custom" options not to function properly.

If i were you i might try to update the edge, Have you hooked it up to the computer yet?

I had a problem kind of like this, the Edge froze up but the truck would still run fine. When I connected it to the computer to update it, it said that it couldn't connect to the edge and "The Evolution may be in 'RUN' mode, is currently set as a Stock Writer, or the Memory is corrupted." In my case the memory was corrupted, called edge and they ran me through the edge restore. Took about 20-25 minutes to restore, but when it was done everything worked perfect and it had ALL the current updates in it.

Hope that helps, also if you are on hold forever with edge, push 0 for the operator and tell them you were working with someone and you got disconnected, they'll put you right through!

same problem

the same thing happened to me on the day i installed mine. THE THING JUST FROZE ON THE SAME SCREEN. when you contact egde they will have you hook up the usb to your computer and give you a series of numbers that will 'restore' your edge. after this you will take it out and restore your truck to factory settings. THEN IT WILL RUN. then you go back in and call edge again to repeat the above process. worked for me just fine and they were very cooperative with it.

that beign said.... i have a 03 screw. 5.4 4x4.

anyone have a custom setting running 87oct that will not destroy my trans and motor? i have done some searching but havent found a program that is specific to my truck. any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

Call Troyer Performance and have them "Custom Tune" you an XCal2 specifically for "your" truck. It is the only true custom tuning available for the F-150's......you will be glad you did..

No I have not tried hooking it up to the computer yet. Is it free to update it? Is it easy? Thanks

Do you not have a manual? If not, go to their site and print one out. Yes, it's free.
