Edge, Superchip, Hypertech, Dialblo sport, SCT. I think they all make chips/tuners for a 99. What do you wanna do with the truck?

More hp and better gas mileage? kind of contradictory, If you have more HP you will probly get on it more so say bye bye to mileage. All of the chips will add HP but for the 99 I think alot of guys run Superchips 1714.

yeah but i dont wanna drain my pocket every time i got to get gas, but that one sounds good, so im gunna go talk to a local dealer of those. but is there anything that is able to change what mode my truck is in kinda like my brothers programmer but his truck is 6 years newer than mine so i dont know if they make anything like that for mine. I think his programmer is an EDGE Evolution.but im not sure ill ask him whenever i talk to him next.

I think the 1714 ,1715 micro max superchip is what you,ll need, I have the 1715 for my 2001, and wow it pays to run the 91 octane performance mode..Its best to have a good exhaust and air system..Im running 35" tires with the 5.4L stock 3.55 gears and holy smoke its like a new truck..It helps the gas milage so the $.20 difference in grades its worth it, I can go further on a tank than tuned stock..plus it has a tow-perf mode that totally changed your truck for pulling, its wierd takes away some power and adds gobs of torque, I;ll swap back in forth depending on if Im hot rodding empty or...I love it..towing or pulling loads..

Hi MbL90,

I suggest that you go with our Troyer Performance custom tuning, as that way you will get a set of 3 different tunes set up however *you* want, for your individual vehicle and your needs.

That way we can do something like say, a towing tune, a performance tune, and then a fuel mileage type of tune - and we can tune for different octane levels, or whatever you want, that's the whole idea of getting it custom tuned. This will also mean you get a much more through tune that will deliver more power and better performance, as well as improved driveability.

This will yield a much better result than any of the off the shelf tuners - though we carry all of them as well, from the Edge to the Superchips, etc., our custom tuning will do the best job for you, as we have specialized in tuning these trucks for over 15 years, much longer than anyone else.

I hope this brief info helps, & if you haven't already, please do give us a shout at our number listed below & we'll be m,roe than happy to help you with this.

Thanks for your post & good luck with your truck!
