Hey all,

I meant to post this sooner. Anyway, I got my Edge right before the price increase (good thing to!) Anyway, I've been real happy with it. Not troubles at all. The one thing I seemed to notice though is? It seems that my Magnaflow exhaust is now a little louder than before. Is it just me or could the Edge actually make some sort of change resulting in my exhaust sounding louder?

I am not complaining at all as I love this change (if indeed the Edge made it louder) but I was curious if I'm just imagining this or if any of you did indeed notice the same thing after installing your Edge????

 

I didnt notice anything, I think a cai might change the sound a little.

 

It's probably because you enjoy the extra power so you unconsciously hit the gas more

Hivoltage, I've noticed the same thing. My exhaust sounds a bit louder with the edge.

 

It does change the tone but not how loud it is because you are changing the timing.

 

Thanks Andy-jr. That must be it! The tone is probably what I am noticing then. That and what NHSP-06 said: A lead foot!

 

What you're hearing is the effects of revised fuel tables. More fuel is being injected at certain points, so the engine is slightly louder.

 

I think my truck got louder for sure. When I turn it on and just listen to it idle it sounds louder and definitely a different tune.

 

I know my edge made my truck LOTS louder... cuz the edge MADE me go buy a maggie SIDO exhaust lol

 

The other thing I have noticed is that I now hear my CAI more than I used to before I installed my Edge.

 

probly cause youre motor is running better & more efficient than before

what mode/tune are you normally running?

 

I think mine sounds a little different too. Better.Not sure about louder.

 

I've been running Level 2. Haven't tried Level 3 yet. I wonder how much of a difference I'll notice when I do run Level 3 versus Level 2???

 

I think mine got a little more throaty w/ my Edge, but I'm not exactly sure how it would but it seems if though mine has gotten a tad bit louder, especially around 60-65 mph. But I ain't fussin, I can't wait to get my exhaust
