I've seen people replace their cigarette lighter/outlet places with them. sucks that it won't fit where it's supposed to, cuz thats the easiest place to look since you check your mirrors all the time anyway. good luck

Here is an alternative, although not a cheap one: http://www.mgtmotorsports.com

There is also an overhead mounting option for the F250/350 that may be adaptable to the F150. Any volunteers?

EDIT: This company also makes an alternative mount for the Scangauge II.

any issues with just making a free standing mount near that spot. (is it ok to be in the SUN with NO cover) i was looking at the mount and was thinking i could cut it down some and slide it back some next to the front window more. or just make a mount but it might not be shaded from the sun. other idea is to place it on the desplay area over the temp (since i have alarms set to on should be fine).

Good looking mount but i think that will not work for me.... do not think i want to place it over there and pull head liner down and all that.

My friend bought a bullydog mount for his edge in his diesel. I liked the idea, so I contacted Bully Dog, about where to purchase one of these brackets, and they sent one out for free. Can't complain there. The bracket looks like a rear view mirror bracket, and I attatched my edge using 3M tape to the bracket. Works slick. Whenever i take it into the dealership, I just unscrew the bracket from the button holding it on the windshield.

Have you got a part number for this mount? I looked at their site and cannot find it. If possible, can you post some pics of it? Thanks.

I've seen the edge bracket on a diesel here at school. It is a chrome bracket that had adjustable ball joints at both ends. If it's the one I am thinking of its a pretty nice bracket.

I will still get you guys some actual pics, but here is the bracket that I have. You can only see part of it behind the bullydog monitor, but its the best I can do until tomorrow.

I have an 06 xlt. I have a flat spot(oval piece of plastic) where the cigarette lighter is, right above the little cubbyhole(which is where I mounted my brake controller). Anyway, I just removed the flat piece of plastic and the lighter with a small flat blade screw driver, ran my wire up behind and under the radio and out through a small hole I drilled next to the existing big hole for the lighter. I planned on just running the wire through the hole for the lighter but in order to center the edge up I had to make my own hole for the wire to plug into the back of the display. I think it looks better than the pod, but its all just a matter of opinion. And by the way, I mounted the display with double sided tape and velcro
