i think i chose too small of injectors

I ordered my custom tunes for the 24# injectors I bought (and want to install), I'm thinking i should have gone for 36# injectors...

anybody running 36# injectors

2001 F-150, 5.4, CAI, underdrive pulleys, cat back, 180* thermostat, Xcal2, factory tech seperator plate, 3.73 gears.

Cool

HI!... 24LB injectors will support about 385H.P at the flywheel in N/A trim. Unless your making more than that the 24's are plenty.

36# injectors are not even made any more - the next step up after 30# are the Cobra 39's, which are basically the same as the Lighting 42's.

And yes, those 24# injectors are MORE than enough for what you have, and will continue to be for quite some time. They will support at MINIMUM of 400 horsepower in naturally aspirated trim, if not more, and you aren't going to be anywhere near that.

put the damn 192 t-stat back in. It isn't helping you with power with the 180.
It is the intake air temp that helps power. Not the coolant temp. Your messing with the computer running that cool and not getting the spark advance you would with a hotter t-stat. Again... it is intake air charge temp that helps with power.. not engine temp. The intake air moves thru the engine faster than a hot engine can warm it.

the truck was running towards the top of "normal" on the temp guage after i installed the underdrive pulleys so I stuck in the 180* thermostat and now it reads like it did stock it gets hot in texas during the summer, I have a custom tune for the 24# injectors and i am looking at tossing on a ported and polished throttle body, changing the cams and tossing on a set of dyntech long tubes with high flow cats, so i guess i made the correct choice then...

thanks
