Hey Mike, I haven't called but I've emailed a couple of times since around the 12th (I think)of last month. Had a couple of questions first. Haven't gotten a reply
We were going to download my tune, spruce it up, and I wanted to take it to you and have it dynoed. Maybe my email is screwed up. Just have not had time to get you on the phone. I'm ready to see what you can squeeze out of this Whipple

*** Anyone interested or wanting to schedule or attend will have to call the
Shop at 540-965-7123 and speak to Anita, Crystal, Chris, or Neal to
do so. Answering here will NOT suffice as they need verbal commitment
in order to schedule the exact day and time ***

Sweet, I could be to Troyer's in 2hrs then. My map quest lists it at 135 miles to Covington. I guess Monday I will give them a call and see what Troyer can do for me as far as some dyno time and a xcal2. Maybe even a efan setup or maybe underdrive pulleys.

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to get back to those of you how have said you have sent emails but have not gotten a response.

We have been able to determine that there is a problem with our ISP that our IT guy is working with them on (and in our location, there is only one source out here where we are in this small town to get broadband from, short of putting up a dish), and then the biggest single problem (we feel at this time) was that there was also a firewall problem here that was preventing a lot of emails from ever arriving here.

Now the firewall settings we feel are currently fixed - the other issues, regarding emails with larger file attachments, the server out west and a few smaller local ISP issues is going to take some more time, most likely.

Anyone who needs to reach us about tuning, or whatever, please simply give us a call at our number listed below so that we can discuss whatever you need with you to get it taken care of.

Even when our email is working correctly, please understand that our email load is so heavy that it generally takes a couple of weeks to get a response back - there is simply no getting around that with our email volume of hundreds per day. So it will always be true that the way to communicate with us in a timely manner is to call us - worst case, we have voicemail after hours, and you can always leave a clear message at that needs to include your full name and a telephone number that we can reach you at during our normal business hours. And please keep in mind that you need to speak slowly and clearly when leaving voicemail messages, those are always the ones that seem to have the biggest problems with us not being able to understand the message - people talk too fact, etc., and that never works well, but is even worse with cell phones especially!

This is just some basic FYI info to let everyone know the status of our email and how to get in touch with us in a timely fashion - so those who have not heard back from us, chances are that we have never received your email, and you simply need to call us to go over the details.

With regard to the date of our next Dyno Day - we will of course not be doing a Dyno Day over Memorial Day weekend, so don't worry about that. And our thanks to Marc for working so hard in getting this next Dyno Day coordinated.

In fact, we are probably going to start establishing a policy where we simply pick a date and announce it 2-3 months in advance, so that everyone, no matter where they are (well, unless you're deployed overseas) can have plenty of time to make any arrangements necessary to work out their schedule so they can make it here. I think that is going to work better than a thread here with people saying they want this date or that date, etc., as over the past couple of years we get many people saying that can't make that date. Well, if they had a couple of months of advance notice, instead of the 3-4 weeks we usually have been giving using these threads, that would help a lot, we're thinking.

We'll see how this current thread goes in terms of timeframe everyone seems to like, and take it from there for future dyno day event scheduling.

Last - remember that anyone can always call us and simply schedule in an individual dyno appointment to come here and have us dyno your vehicle, tune it, do the datalogging, or whatever is needed - just give us a call and we'll set up an appointment for you so that you do not need to wait for a Dyno Day event.

I hope that helps to clear up some of these communication issues, and our apologies for the email difficulties - it's been driving us nuts here, as you can imagine! The only way we knew there was a problem is by enough people calling us to let us know they sent emails, and we find that we have never received them. At any rate, we certainly agree that it has been a problem, and it's been due to several things, ranging from firewall settings on our end in our network, to the router setup, to some issues with our local ISP, and then last, our hosting server for our web site where all the email to TroyerPerformance.com comes thru, which is out in Utah (what a convoluted arrangement!). This is a pretty typical deal actually, where you have your web site hosted by a big hosting company somewhere, and your email goes thru that same server - but your local ISP is a different company, so you end up having 3 layers the email has to get thru, at a minimum - your internal network, then your local ISP, and last, the actual host server. So our IT guy has been working diligently on this for the past couple of weeks and still has more to do.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know what the status of our email is, so for now I suggest calling us to make sure that you get thru to us, and that will alway be the only way to communicate with us in a timely manner due to our tremendous email load.

Thanks for your understanding, everyone!
