Edge newbie with alert question

I just got my Edge last night and already I have had 4 spark alert messages 2 at start ups and 2 while driving, I checked the trouble codes and nothing shows and I cannot tell any difference in engine performance while the alert is on, no stumbling or missing. Is there anything I should worry about or change as this must have been happening before I installed the Edge.

Spark alert

I have an 'o6 that does the same. I posted on here a few weeks ago and there were a few other people with the same, But nobody has found out why it does that. So far nobody has any problems with it just the annoying alert. If you get to the bottom of this let me know.

Yeah try an update I called Edge tech support about mine because of a ghost in my truck and the tech said to use the 22 and 26 it says unstable but he said not to worry about that, it is just a new version that they are working on.

I plan on updating it when I get back to work on Monday, but for now I have found that I can just turn off the alerts and the problem goes away.

That's like pulling the batteries out of your CO detectors

It just might be trying to tell you something - anyone know if the Edge has transient/historical misfire PID capability (no codes set)?

...and Edge's response to this is ...???

I just installed my new edge in my FX4 5.4 and set to level 2. I get a spark alert at every start-up and sometimes during driving, usually in overdrive at low speed, not towing. When it alerts during driving, the engine stumbles until the alert goes away, usually after a downshift. I would like to know if this is a problem.

Yeah I have heard of this before and for what i have read in the past is that you should just turn the alerts off. I just installed mine as well (in the past week) and I have not turned on the alerts and no problems for me so far.

Spark alert is timing related. It's not a problem.Rember, the OBDII has power before you start the truck.

OK - thanks - it still has not been explained fully yet - other than that blow-off response from Edge posted elsewhere ...

SO - The purpose of monitoring/alerting advance @ startup is... what ??? Anyone?

The alert wouldn't be there if it has no use - products typically don't contain useless/needless functionality - there's no benefit to the bottom line for development expense with no end purpose ...

Just sayin' lol

Cheers
