Who has 4.6L and an Edge

Noticed a lot of the guys running the edge have 5.4's and the common sentiment is that it does a great job boosting power. My question is who is running an edge with there 4.6 and what are your impressions of its improvment to performance.

I read positive reviews in this area when researching the tuners for the 4.6. I am going to purchase one and will hopefully be able to give you feedback soon

i agree with the 2 above posts. i only have mine on lvl 2 out of the box, no custom tunes yet. firmer shifts, better throttle response, and over all more power.

I've got one on my 2004 4.6L screw 4x4. It's great. I'm on level 2, it's noticable.

I would like to hear from more 4.6 owners as well who have installed the EDGE tuner.

Pros? cons? gas increase? decrease? Can the dealership tell if you have had an EDGE installed? I am fairly new to this product and would like to get some more info from 4.6 owners before I make a purchase decision

you return the the truck to stock before taking it to the dealer, takes like 30secs. use the search button on this or look in the chips section for a post by Chester, good write up.

I certainly wouldn't expect to see much increase.

Increases MPG because I can constantly monitor it. Decreases MPG because my foot is heavier off the line. The result for me has been somewhere about the same as I was getting before the edge. It's hard to tell because with the edge the truck behaves differently; the truck seems to have power where previously there wasn't.

I love my edge. I have definately noticed a big difference in the power band...it makes me sad whenever I have to set it to stock, because you can definately notice the power loss.

Tuned my 99 4.6 last night with the Edge Evolution and all that I can say is WOW! The acceleration and power gains are unbelievable. The gear transfer is as smooth as silk and I am running 200 - 300 less rpms for the same speeds on interstate. I filled my tank before making the program change and I am very curious if there will be an improvement in the mpg. I will assume that there will be since I am running lower rpms.

My only issue was that I miscalculated my tire size and this threw my odometer off. But a quick correct calculation and it reads dead on now. I am running level 2 and will run this for about a month to determine if there is a fuel savings. I will then try the level 3. All that I can say right now is that I am confident that this was a good purchase if for nothing else but the power gain.
