Will Tuner change the exhuast sound?
Also..
By changing the shift points... you get a bit more RPMs whilest just cruising at low speeds.. this effectivly makes the exhaust sound a bit louder.. at given points in time... kinda like crusin 40 thruough town... with overdrive off.....

Actually, this is an excellent question.
What happens is anytime you change the tuning, either in terms of the A/F ratios or the timing, then yes, the "tone" of the exhaust note can, but does not always ,change - actually adding power via tuning can change the tone of the exhaust note to make it sound a bit more aggressive - not a lot LOUDER (though with the best tuning it can be a little bit louder, just a tiny bit, thanks to the increase in cylinder pressure), but a bit more aggressive, for lack of a better term.
Now unfortunately, there is also tuning that doesn't do much, if anything for the vehicle, that can, in some cases, still change the exhaust note, if the A/F's change or delivered timing changes, etc.
People who come to our dyno days and see what an Edge (or any other off the shelf type of tuning device) does versus or custom tuning quickly realize the difference and how much more power & performance our Troyer Performance custom tuning adds over *any* off the shelf device, no matter who makes it - and that is simply because we have far more tuning R&D into this platform than anyone else outside of Ford themselves, as we have specialized in F-150's for 15+ years.
So yes, tuning can and in many cases does change the "tone" of the exhaust note. The best change happens when power is increased via the best tuning, as you will get a more aggressive sound (but not a lot LOUDER) at almost any throttle position, thanks to the increase in cylinder pressure.
