Talking Anticipating custom Livewire and mods

Got to chat with Mike Troyer today.
What a nice guy and sure knows his stuff!
Probably talked easily for an hour.

Well, like some of you, I can't wait for my custom tuner and engine mods either. I went with the custom Livewire so that put me right smack dab,... on the waiting list. Also went with the 3.5" AF1 and complete exhaust system. Can't wait to try the 91 performance tune.

Thank you Mike for your patience and explaining/answering all my questions.

Well, when I spoke with Mike he didn't reveal how long, just that there are others before me.

Our custom tuning orders get done in the order that they come in - in other words, first come is first served, so it's simply a matter of how many are ahead of you when you place your order, that's all.

06SoCalScrew,
sounds like a sweet package. im in the shopping for the same...intake, exhaust and tuner and am constantly checking for more user reviews on the livewire. the edge sounds like the most reliable. im definitely going with a custom tune from troyer. i wont be switching tunes much..just kind of want to wake the beast within. if you dont mind 06SoCalScrew, how much did your package cost? trying to see how many bottles i got to collect before i start aggrivating troyer folks with which tunres, intakes and exhaust. thanks

Wolf-FX4, after you read your email,...

...the tunes I chose are 87 Performance, 91 performance, and 91 performance tow. 91 octane pump gas-thats all we get in Cali. Or at least in LA basin.
But if I decide to travel outside of the state, I'll be able to tweak the perameters for 93 octane, according to Troyer.

Also, I don't know what the shipping charges would be like to Hawai'i.

Aloha

Hi MGD,

I apologize for not being specific. :o
As it was explained to me, the knock sensor system in the (my) truck works with the Livewire (or vice versa). I'll be able to run 93 octane with a 91 octane tune. When I spoke with Troyer Perf. today, they will "[I]amplify[I]"this action. (I believe this means improved.)
My take on this is the systems work together, the spark would be advanced such, utilizing the 93.

Being at work, I didn't get to talk long to lay down more details. If I have time, I'll get more info tomorrow.

Hey, my pleasure.

I'm glad I could help.

As soon as I get all the mods on my truck I'll post pictures and send you an email.

Shakka and Aloha
