I haven't updated my Edge in quite a while, no need to really. But recently I wanted to see if I could run level 3 without the shudder, so I wanted to try an update. I returned the truck to stock, downloaded and installed the latest Lightning software from edge, but when I try to connect the unit to my laptop, I get the error below. I tried loading a program and returning it to stock again, just to make sure, and still got the same error. Am I forgetting something? like I said, it has been a while since I updated and I may have forgotten a step in there somewhere.

 

did you install the 2 drivers before hooking up the edge, if not reload program and install drivers

 

The drivers that install automatically with Lightning or are there others?

 

Tried removing Lightning and going through the installation again, still doesn't work.
My unit is:
EEF2400
Ver E3.08.08a
Date of Manuf. 12/20/2005

 

click run- edge products- usb drivers- install drivers
turn off norton anti virus first

 

no Norton, no option to install, only uninstall

 

Went to Lightning Update Manager -> Updates -> RepairAll Update files

Seems to be working

Updated to Firmware v20 Calibration v23

Maybe this will fix my shudder on level 3, hopefully it won'tbrick my truck, it's too cold to ride the bike to work tonight.

got my edge in friday finally, ran level 3 last night and there was a shudder, updated with the new firmware
