As long as you get it updated to the correct computer code, can you use a XCAL II from one vehicle to another? If you can use the XCAL II from one vehicle to another, mine will be in the classified section within the next few days.

I'm trading my truck in shortly. I am 1000% certain, as sure as the sun rises in the morning, I will not be buying another Ford, ever.

just make sure you unlock it before selling or it will be stuck with your computer code and render it useless to anyone else that doesnt have that code.

There are far, far to many issues for me to list. I won't even bother since 99% of the people on this board do not have the ability to believe that Ford does in fact make a POS vehicle. Which mine is, in a big way. To be fair, 50% of the problem are the collections of no-talent-***-clown known as Ford dealer around here.

Wow, sorry to hear you're that PO'd over your F-150, that's a darned shame. I do agree, sometimes Ford can make a lemon, I have had a couple myself!

But I always made them buy them back or fix them properly in the end, and I got an even better vehicle (more upscale) usually while I was at it. So Ford has always taken care of me, even if the dealership didn't.

Anyway, to unlock your XCal, just use it to return your vehicle back to stock - then use Live Load to "unlock" it. then it can be reprogrammed to be used on another FoMoCo vehicle 1996 or newer.
