I've had this edge for about 11 months now, it started with the screen staying frozen, and then it kept asking for the hex code and press enter menu, all this would happen and i would just unplug and plug the unit and then it would be ok. Well i finally got tired of that and decided to update the unit, i looked at the program setting and it said "0" meaning no program is in use and i did not set it back to stock it just happend. it would not let me set it back to stock, i then proceed to update my lightning and try and program the unit and nothing happens and now the truck doesn't pick it up either (turn on).

when i try programming it says its in "run mode" is currently set as a stock writer, or the memory is corrupted. i am calling tech support but wanted to know if any of u had this issue before and what type of warranty does this unit come with?? thanx in advance.

 

Call edge in the morning. They'll get you straight. I really don't follow exactly what you're saying. You cannot update the edge without it being on level [0] so I don't understand what's happening. Just call edge, and they'll fix you up.

 

Chalk another one up to user error. When you noticed your Edge wasn't recognizing your tune, the first thing you should have done is called Edge. They could have fixed you up in a matter of minutes. Now assuming you bricked your truck and Edge can't recover your stock tune, you'll have to tow your truck to the dealership and have them reflash your pcm.

 

this happend about a week ago, and have had no drivablility problems. My truck drives fine so no my pcm did not fry or lose its mem.

what i was trying to say was that before u try and program the unit u must return to stock and it was already set to stock without me doing that. so some how the edge messed up hence the problem. upon trying to update the lightning and then the edge the error message showed and that was that. Now the truck doesn't pick up the edge either.

i will call them first thing wednesday morning.
