These engines do not use chips, it is a programmer.

For the best tuning, you'll want to go with our Troyer Performance custom tuning, as most of the people here have been doing for many years.
We have specialized in tuning these trucks for 15 years - far longer than anyone else. In fact, numerous tuning companies call us for help with all kinds of issues due to our expertise on this platform - the major chipmakers do not have anywhere near the amount of R&D that we have into this platform, as they are concerned with getting applications for as many vehicles as possible done 0- whereas we specialize, and have custom tuned more of these trucks than anyone in the world, so we know them extremely well, and we are well known for our results - if you just use the SEARCH feature here to search on "Troyer Performance custom tuning" you will see many posts from our customers who post their results & how they feel about our custom tuning.
Its' really the difference between "canned" tunes that are made in a rather generic fashion to run on all similar vehicles, versus our tunes, which are full 7-digit strategy matches and made for each individual vehicle from scratch, one by one. And that is the best way to do tuning, especially in these vehicles, as the F-150 has hundreds of different PCM revision each and every model year, unlike any other vehicle in the world.
