best programmer for a 04 4.6
Hi Ridge,
The first thing to remember is that not all XCals are the same - the arrive blank, and then the tuner puts their tunes inside. Now most of them simply load a pre-built "value" file rather than really do the kind of in-depth tuning that we do, but the point is, XCals are not created "equal" - what matters is who is doing the actual *tuning*.
We carry both products (Edge, our own custom tuning which we load into the XCalibrator 2, and Superchips Inc's products as well), and in terms of the actual results, you will get much better performance by having us load our Troyer Performance *custom* tuning into the XCalibrator 2 - that is what most people here use who are looking for the best actual performance results.
We have specialized in the performance tuning & modifying of these trucks for the past 15 years, and are called in by many manufacturers, OEM's & other tuners to help them with these vehicles due to our expertise on this platform.
The Edge device gives you some neat gauges, that is true - so if you are after the gauges, then you may like the Edge. But most people buy tuning for the actual performance gains, and when you want the best safe & sustainable performance, hands down it's our custom tuning that delivers the best results.
If you'd like to go over this in more detail, we'll be happy to go over all of this with you so that you will know the difference and can make your decision from a fully informed position, as we carry both, of course.
Thanks for your post & good luck!

For further details, just give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be happy to help.
I have to apologize, as the owner of the company I do not have time to personally send out emails to everyone who says "send me an email" - I'd never get anything else done!
I get swamped with requests to do personal emails, personal phone calls, as well as everything else I do. Everyone sees my name here and thinks they have to talk with me personally, but that is not possible, as much as I wish I could speak with everyone personally - the reality is, there is only one of me and thousands of customers!!
So like any company, that is what we have a staff for - so for further details, please just give us a quick call at our number listed below & we'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have, etc., OK?
Thanks for your understanding, I greatly appreciate it!
