my brother and I both have the troyer xcal2's and we love them. I would go with one of them. we have 5.4's so i don't know which one is better for the 4.6

Hi Chrism9232 & others,

the Edge unit only gives you "canned" "off the shelf" tunes that are made generically for all similar vehicles - whereas our Troyer Performance custom tuning, which we load into the XCalibrator 2, gives you much better gains and better driveability, and a far more thorough, in-depth type of tune.

There really is no comparisons between a "canned" set of tunes versus proper custom tuning like we do - don't' get me wrong, we sell the Edge device as well, but we sell FAR more of our own custom tuning compared to the Edge or any other off the shelf types of tuners that we also carry, because most people are interested in getting the best actual results.

Because we have specialized in these trucks for far longer than anyone else, and we have custom tuned far more of these trucks than anyone else in the world, we know them extremely well - so regardless of which engine you have, your best results will be had with our Troyer Performance custom tuning.

If you would like to go over any of this in more detail, please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below & we'll go over all of that with you - we can provide you with either type of unit of course, but if you want the best actual results, the hot tip is our custom tuning - just FYI.

Thanks for your post, & good luck!

One of these days, I'm gonna break down and buy one of these from you and see if there is any difference. Now..If you can write me a tune that will make my edge see trans temp (say in the place of something useless like maf) I will buy it. And I don't care if the tune is any better in any other respect.
