2000 f-150 4x4 5.4 triton.........which performance chip , without getting into alot of money, do I need for my truck? I know nothing about chips so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

 

One of the best is from SCT www.sctflash.com It comes with great tunes built in. A feature that sets it apart from many others is that your SCT dealer can upload custom tunes if you start doing other performance enhancements to your truck/engine.

 

Can that chip be runned simultaneously with a programmer or are they one and the same.

Actually, what will get you the best results is to have us do our Troyer Performance tuning on that vehicle, as we have specialized on these F-150's for 15 years now, and have custom tuned far more of them than anyone else. We are well known for our results on these vehicles.

We use the SCT hardware, which we feel to be the best, and we can supply that in a "traditional" chip, but I would recommend using the XCalibrator 2, as it has many features that are very helpful, such as complete diagnostics, datalogging, email update capability, & so many other things that cannot be done with a "traditional" performance chip - like I said, we can do it either way, but having all of that capability in a hand-held tuner is generally the best way to go.
