Question help me with my edge

(Level 3 setting)

is it okay to put the timing up .50 with 91 octane, or just leave it at zero.

also, what are the best shifts points(rpm level to shift at in each gear), 5000-5500 or higher or what.

also what is the best shift pressuse to ad, it goes all the way to 25, but what is the best for me a daily driver, but who likes to race his friends and floor it sometimes 5, 10, 15, or is as high ok

also if i put my shift levels at lets say 5400, i have to put the rev limiter to 5550 so it dosent cause delayed or erratic shifts right.

please help me guys, Im not to sure on these custom tunes, i would program it normal (not custom) but I am running 35's and 4.46 gears

Everything is up to you. That's why they call it CUSTOM settings.

To be honest, I run level 3 with 0 timing and everything bumped all the way up. Rev limiter is set for 5800 and speed limiter is 200 (for the hell of it).
I know I will bump my timing up sometime in the future when I decide to update the Edge and have to go back to stock to do it, and make another tune.

Play with your Edge. Tune, retune. Get it to where you want it.

Firstly, the manual tells you to run 91 octane on level 3 with no bump, but if you are above sea level, you might be able to get by with a little. do a +.5 and see if you have pinging, if you do, back off. I don't like to push my engine too hard so I shift at 5250 rpms. The manual says maximum rpm should always be 400 above your shift setting. If you are shifting at 5400, then max would be 5800. Shift pressure is up to you, I like +12. Try that and if you want more, try more.

One other thing, it has been said that the 3-4 shift should never be over 4800 rpms as this is a weak point in the tranny.
