Edge Level 2 for Daily Driver

Well today I finally got my much anticpated Edge hooked it up went straight to level 2 I really couldnt tell much difference over stock except harder shifts I swear I really couldnt). Went to level 3 on 87 octane just for a minute( I know I shoudnt without 93) and it does make a difference. My question is after I tweak it a little bit can i Just leave the Edge on level 2 or 3 all the time and not hurt the realiability of the truck? Does level 2 bump timing? If not what can I set timing too? This has probaly been asked 1000 times but Ive tried searching.

I had mine on level 2 for months and took a 3000 mile vacation trip with no problems at all. Switch to lvl 3 and loved it but with the winter grade gas lost about 100 miles per tank. so after 3 months on lvl 3 I went back to lvl 2 just for the winter. You have to give your computer a couple of days to adjust to your driving. For me lvl 3 gave me great power and great gas mileage in the summer months.

I run my Evo on the standard level 2 with no customizations for everyday driving and towing my travel trailer. I haven't had any problems and love the improvement in shifting and driveability.

I ran level 3 for months. Finally tried level 2 with some custom settings and it seems to have more low end torque, plus I like the way it downshifts in traffic a little better. I do run 89 though as I was getting a pingging with 87.

Just got in from a 500 mile trip and I would not go back to stock unless forced.

Ok what are you guys doing on custom settings on level 2? I want to get a little more out of level 2. Also since Ive put on the Edge Ive notcied while coming to a complete stop that my RPM will dip below 500 RPMs and the lights will dim for a sec then it jumps right back up. Can I adjust my idle to help this also, can I bump the timing on level 2 while still on 87 octane. There are so many questions about this nifty gadget!

I'm with HiVotage14.4, I'd like to see what everyone else is doing for level 2 custom tunes. I love the monitoring capabilities of the Edge but didn’t see much (a little) on the performance gains with the exception of shift firmness.
Should have mine on a Dyno this weekend to find out the true difference as far as number go between stock, 1, 2 & 3. I'd like to make some custom changes but in an intelligent way (other than just guessing) Then I'm taking my truck to the local track for test and tune. Here I'll be able to double check the dyno results with actual numbers since the track has a scale and I have a weather station. Normally I wouldn’t beat on my truck this bad but my Cuda is still in the paint shop and have nothing else to punish. Sure is going to suck bustin mid to high 16's all day.
Any how, any info from you all would help in maximize data collection. And of course I'll post all my findings.
Thanks

I left timing as preset in the Edge, left WOT fuel as preset.

Shift pressure: +12 for each shift
rpms: 5200 for shift 1 and 2 and then 4800 for third shift
Max rpms: 5600
Speed: 110

i'm in the same boat
i would love to see what everyone is running.

when i got mine i put in on level 2 and customized it but nothing extreme, just shift firmness, tires, wot shift points.

i noticed a big jump with level two but when i put it on level 3 i couldn't tell any difference at all . . . only the shutter.

i'm running 93 oct so what gives??

Thats wierd becuase I put mine on level 3 and noticed a good difference in power etc and that was with 87 octane not long. The only real thing ive notcied with level 2 is shifts a tad harder and a very slight power increase.I was just looking to tweak level 2 or should i go to level 3 and add 93 octane. Would level 3 be ok for daily driver? Down the road I just dont want my tranny burnt up or something like that.

Some people are getting shudders on lvl 3 but not all when slowing down around 50 mph.

I just put my edge on a few days ago, and am curious what this shudder is described as. I am on level 2 and medium acceleration I get a drone like sound right before a shift. I cant feel anything(seat of pants), but the sound makes me nervous, is this normal, are others hearing this sound, or do I need to look a little deeper into the issue. Any help would be great.

You guys keep in mind that that you have to make a few drive cycles for everything to adapt. You do not feel all the benefit when you first crank it up. Also, the canned Edge level 2 tune is pretty tame. You need to adjust it to get the most kick out of it and to meet your driving needs. I posted my settings above, and the truck is night and day from stock. I recently returned to stock to passs an emmissions test and it was like driving a slug. This is from a guy that knows a little about seat of the pants as I have done a lot of drag racing in the past, and thought my stock truck ran pretty good till I hooked the Edge up to it. Level 2 gives me low end torque for running around town, level 3 gives me more through the higher rpm band for highway or if I were to try to race it.
