ok what the hell is going on.

I updated my edge, with the 20,21v and I programed it to level 2, program took went to start my truck and the display screen froze. turned my truck off, display still wouldnt turn off, unplugged it from the OBII port and now when I plug it back in it says level 0. OH S**T what did I do. And do I have to wait till tuesday to get it fixed.

 

plug it in and go through the settings, it will need to get the info from truck computer. you will need to set it to the level you want just like the first time you pluged it in

 

even with the level 2 stuck in there even though it says level 0.

what are you saying I need to do. Sorry trying to get my head on straight

 

If I were you...I wouldn't touch anything if your truck is running fine. Wait until Tuesday or Wednesday when Edge gets back into their offices. It would suck if you bricked your truck over the christmas season.

 

well my truck wont be going anywhere now. I plugged it back in to see if it would read and it didnt, tried just level one, now truck is spuddering bad.

 

Did you follow all the instructions correctly? Something sounds wrong. I have had mine out of the truck numerous times and downloaded from edge alot and haven't had any issues with hookup. You have to have the stock program saved, set to zero before you do any downloads.

 

Did you try to return you truck to stock?

 

yeah I tried to return it to stock and still runs like crap.

stealth, I cant figure it out either this is the first time I have ever had any problem with this tuner and I have had it a while started acting funny after the last up date, tried to flash it back to previous version, and still acting funny and now all of this headache.

 

Well, can you return to stock and load the previous program? I just got mine the 19th and had to find a calibration version that wouldn't give me shudder at cruise speeds. That was a pain having to download, program custom settings, drive, return to stock, re-download, etc. Over and over till I found it, and I still have somewhat of a very slight shudder. Just make sure to follow the directions every download.

 

stealth, unfortunitly I cannot return to my orginal factory setting, edge shows level 0 with no return to stock feature, I hope that edge tech can force my truck back to stock. In the lightning software it saves your original stock calibration, It is showing my original stock setting and the new setting that it is showing as stock but is all jacked up. I hope they can take my original setting and put in back in my edge and put it back in my truck. Fingers crossed.

 

i just got my edge a few days ago,i loaded level 2 and took off and it shifted to second and like going to nuetral with idle only,would shift back to first and same thing,retuned to stock and called edge,seems a few units had a bad #20 so went home and downloaded lightening software,upgraded to20-21.put it back to level 2 and no problems,shudder etc.sure pulls nice now,may play w/level 3 next year when the snow is gone.hope edge tech gets you going,merry xmas and happy new year!

well just an update, I had my truck towed on tuesday to the dealer, and had the computer reflashed. I got really lucky and it was all done for free. I thank my lucky stars. I also contacted edge again, and they are issueing a RMA return for my turner and sending me a brand spanking new one. I talked to jared at edge he is the guy taking care of me, seems really willing to help and take care of customers. So just thought I would let everyone know that this is whats going on.
