o.k so i just got the edge. installed it just as manual said, and it gave me an error code f1( version update needed) So i go and download software, and the only update it said was needed. I updated with success, i go to install again. Same error code. My new EDGE will not even work. Please help, of course tech support is closed and I have no ideas. IThanks all! I just want my new toy to work. Thanks

What year is your truck?

 

its a mid year 2006 model.

 

Go to stock and then call edge in the morning. If you've done everything right with the edge as far as updates and still no load your hex code may not be supported yet.

I got my edge the 19th and had to load firmware version 20 and calibration version 21 just today. Edge said they are the most stable versions out right now. There is a cal version 23 and 24 out but they aren't stable yet.

Looks like Okibronco had the same problem in a recent post. I also have a 2006 4.6. Aparently there is an update in order for them to work??

 

If so, go to the edge website and download your lightning softwarethere. You can update lickidy split. I think it's pretty cool.
