Ya, I was at work, I just checked again and it is listed as Unstable....so I guess version 23 is the latest one released.

You can find the info here:

https://local.edgeproducts.com/edge/..._download.html

It is a link to the old site listing (the one that is still listed in the user manual). I sent Edge an email suggesting to them that they should put a link to the update info on their new site.

I personally wont load anything that states unstable. I dont even know why they would even offer an unstable update.

I have had the edge for a year now with no problems.. I saw that a lot of you guys were updating, so I decided why not.. The last time I updated was a few months ago. I think I was on version 18. I updated to 23. All was fine until I was running with cruise on last night and I think I now have this "shudder" everyone speaks of. It does it after it coasts and the throttle goes on. I've never done this, but you can go back to an older version right?

I believe you are supposed to be able to go back, but I have not done it. I am running version 21 and it seems to work fine (no shudder problem) so I am not planning on updating. My hex code is RXAQ3B3. I have noticed in the past that a "fix" for certain hex codes sometimes results in that problem for the hex codes that did not originally have the problem. I am thinking that dealing with all these different hex codes .........is a pain.....I mean even different trucks, stock, with the same configurations have different issues ..........right from ford. Makes me wonder what is different in the programming for, say a 2005 or 2006 truck with the same everything as my 2004 truck?

I think that everybody who does an update and it creates an issue or it fixes an issue should post their hex code so others will know. Let us know if going back to an older version helps (and works). Good luck.

I have code RXCM5 and just loaded version 24 and have the shudder, I guess I'll load 23 tonight and hopefully be shudder free. I just got the edge yesterday. Or maybe I'll go back to 17 or 18

I just talked to edge tech on the phone and they said you can go back and load a previous versions. A local guy here runs version 17 and had the same hex code as mine and has no problems. I'm going to load that version.

Edit: I loaded version 17, no shudder so far.

Edit again: shudder is there on level 3 custom tune.

Attention! Thread resurrectuion in progress.

Any of you still have this shudder? I am giving level 3 another shot to see if the adaptive strategy cures it. I don't know.

The latest update for calibration was 4-12-07, Do you have to update both the firmware and calibration or just one of them?

I just got this email from Edge. I was having a problem downloading the lightning software on one computer but successfully downloaded it on another. I also asked about the level 3 transmission shudder.

Email from Edge

William,
Sorry for the inconvenience. If you are trying to download from a Company computer, some have had trouble allowing the software to be downloaded. Companies with certain firewalls block our software even if you turn them off. We have not figured that part out yet unless you completely turn everything down and disable them. If you have it already downloaded on the home XP the i would recommend on using that computer. We have not fixed the shutter issue. I would recommend on updating the latest Firmware and Calibration to see if that helps. Latest firmware is version 22 and the latest calibration is version 27. If you have any other questions then just let me know.
Thanks,

Stealth, can you go into the Diagnostics and then Version Info on the Edge and tell me what your Bootloader, Firmware, and Calibration read? What are the numbers, mine are 2.50.xxxx?
