edge on older truck

Im sure you guys get asked this all the time but i have a 1997 expedition with a 5.4 and 125,000 miles on it. I hear all you guys talking about how much the edge does for your trucks, but does it work as well on a 97 as it does on an 03. I appreciate any help.

New Question

All the things the Evo for the 97-03 trucks says it displays, how much of it can be displayed without putting a temp gauge in the exhaust and other things of this nature? Also is it just plug and play or do I have to hard wire into my electrical?

It's plug and play, but you won't get exhaust temp or transmission temp.

The only thing I was disappointed about with my Edge was the manual says it has trans temp, when in reality it does not.... Must be a generic install manual that Edge puts out.

Other than that minor thing, I cannot live without now...
