troyer xcal 2

so whats the deal with this thing? tryin to figure out y its soooo good. yah its made for your truck, but with all the searchin ive done, it seems like a lot of ppl arent happy with the customer service and the 5 week plus long waiting period?
i dont understand how it can take that long. isnt it all they do there is dyno the truck until u get maximum output? that should onlyu take a few hours. is programmer worth this wait and cost that much over the edge or the hyptertech

personally I use the hypertech right now, but I'm thinkn bout buyin the EDGE
'cause of more power and the gauges. As far as the wait, no they don't just dyno till good so to speak. They actually take the info from the forms you fill out such as ( data logging, dyno runs, personal preferences in the 3 tunes that YOU choose) then they customize each individual tune to your mods and PCM ( which is what takes the longest ) truck, preferences, usage, and driving style. They try different settings to make the most power from each tune, with the most reliablity, then test the HELL out them to be certain they will work for you. ( they test the HELL out of all there products ) which I like.

Very few people have had customer service complaints and they were resolved rather quickly. What he does is basicly rewrite the programming on YOUR PCM. This takes time. When he's the only one doing it and has...lets say 150 orders to fill, and each rewrite takes 6-8 hours......you do the math.

We're not allowed to discuss price in an open forum and the group buy is over already.

The regular price is on this page:

http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...chips&start=20

it's item #25 near the bottom of the page.

the real numbers from edge are 35hp 50lb-ft on 93 octane, my guess would be around 25hp 35lb-ft on 87 octane.
