New Edge User

So I just got my Edge Evolution installed and have not mad any changes yet. What do you guys feel I should have my settings at? Anything I should change right away or not change.

My 2005 F-150 Supercrew is running:

K & N Intake
MagnaFlow Dual Exhaust... dual from muffler.
35 x 13.50 on 20's
6" FabTech
Rear add-a-leaf

Everything else is stock I think.

Thanks!

You need to go into the custom setting and adjust for the size of tires and make sure the gear setting is correct. That can be done on either level 2 or level 3. Then it is up to you. Most of us are doing something close to the following:

If running 93, we bump timing up 1.00
WOT shifts: 1-2=5250 2-3=5250 3-4=4800
Max RPMs: 5600
Shift Pressure: +12 or however firm you like it
WOT Fuel: +1.6

Anybody know if the custom settings are available for the 97'-03' edge?

I am sure they are. The best way for you to see what all it does is go to Edge products web site and download the manual for that unit.

Thanks, but I have the edge 2100 and the manual. I've only tuned once so maybe those options don't show up right away. Left a message with Nate at Edge Products.

With your Edge installed, when you turn the key on and punch the top button on the monitor, it should give you several options. the first one is to reprogram, you select that then it should ask if you want to customize, you say yes and then it asks if you are sure, you say yes and the next screen should start the custom options.

Thanks, I'll try that. I spoke with Edge and they said I may have held the button down too long and skipped the custom options prompt on the initial install. Haven't tried to reprogram yet so I'll give it a whirl.

When you say 93... are you referring to Octane? I live in Colorado and I think the high octane here is 91.

Yes, I am referring to octane. The level 3 comes preset for 91 octane. If I were you, I would still try bumping your timing up +1 as you are higher than sea level. Then, if you hear a rattle, back off from the +1.

I don't have many... and the truck is dirty and dingy. Here is the beginning of my gallery.
