To the best of my knowledge, the XCal2 and AF1 are both 50 state street legal. My AF1 came with a “C.A.R.B. D-525” sticker

I believe the AF1 is "Carb" approved which is okay out here in Cali. Don't know if the XCAL2 is, but the Edge Evo for gas is not legal on the street for Cali. So I would suspect XCAL as well. See if they have a "CARB Approved" listinng in the propaganda.
