Mike I am slightly disappointed that it is on the market now and you have not made it available to your loyal following, myself included.Anyhow, put me down for one when they become available for us, from Troyer Performance
.Hey maybe the AF1 will be out for the 4.2 new body style by then, wow I can get a combo deal!
You know Mike's not going to sell it until he tests the wholey H@ll out of it....
and thats a good thing.... just look at the Edge... not talking about the Edges Programming, but the Edge had firmware issues also... Mike's tuning wouldn't be a problem but it stills has to commutate with the PCM... meaning firmware...

I am in for the trade up option, if it becomes available ! I like the bells and whistles and a nice mount on the corner of the dash, like the edge. It is going to be a long wait for this to become available !

Concerning the mounting options. Anyone who uses the GPS units with the suction cups can tell you. It is an excellent way to mount. Very secure, and removable, IMHO. This way you can mount it any way along the dash... It looks very nice. But it will cost some serious dough I am sure. How much will they give for the X/CAL2 for the upgrade to the Livewire. That is the question...

TSDan & everyone else,

Well, I'm afraid TSDAN needs to check his disappointment at the door, because the facts, my friend, are that the unit DOES NOT EXIST, and you CANNOT GET ONE FROM ANY WEB SITE ADVERTISING IT.

It does not exist yet. The first unit has never shipped. Period. Not a single company advertising it has ever shipped one -

Why?

BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN MANUFACTURED YET!!

We had the first look at a prototype unit by virtue of the President of SCT flying up to our shop and delivering the unit by hand to me personally - period. That was the one we joked about drop-testing. After we reassembled it, it still worked, and it was taken right back to SCT after that meeting, where they are still busily working on both some minor aspects of the hardware design and it's tuning files, etc.

So I hope we're clear - it wasn't shipping then - it isn't shipping now - and it will not be shipping next week. It is scheduled to be released 1st quarter of 2007. The two web sites that were quoted not only have never received any units to ship, and will not have them before we do.

We are SCT's oldest dealer, period. We are also, on any given day, just about their highest volume custom tuning dealer in North America, on average - which is one of the reasons why the President of SCT was kind enough to fly up here to see us and bring us, by hand, that prototype unit we talked about. Nobody is going to get the unit before we do.

And it's going to be much more expensive than the XCalibrator 2 of course, due to it's many additional features, and the XCalibrator 2 will continue to exist for a long time even after the LiveWire is actually released.

In the email we received yet again just today directly from SCT, once again SCT clearly stated that the estimated release date is 1st quarter of 2007, and if that changes, we will be notified immediately - at which point, we will notify you.

It doesn't matter what any person, company or web site advertises or claims, they do NOT have any of them, they have NOT shipped any of them, and you CANNOT get it now. As soon as it does exist and is actually available, we will let everyone know and make them available - just as we always have.

I hope that sets the record straight, gentlemen, & have a great day!
