New best ET @ MIR/ Attention Mike Troyer
Just wanted to drop a line to let Mike (Troyer) know about my new ET at the track. Went to Budds Creek, MD Sunday. What a beautiful day to go racing . Ran my personal best of 12.6 @ 111 mph, on a .046 reaction time! That's only with a 4lber and on F1's! Not a 11.0 sec. 1/4 like some of you guys, but I'm still pretty happy about it. I need to get with Mike to talk about how to get into the 11's w/my Lightning with a stock block. 6lber, ported blower, full exhaust, new tune? I know he owns one running 11's w/a stock block. My son wants to start seriously modding his 04 sonic blue, atleast w/a custom tune, upon his return from Iraq. Hope to talk to you soon Mike. Also condolences to you & Anita for her sister's passing. Sorry, I haven't been on here lately. REMEMBER OUR TROOPS!

Hi Raleigh,
Nice time considering what the truck has done to it - that trap speed is especially nice, and tells me it has more ET in it like it sits with suspension work & slicks. Of course, you were probably running under very good conditions, Sunday was beautiful!
To get into the 11's, it's going to take more power and some suspension work and slicks - so yes, we need to port the blower, which we can handle for you if you like of course, and then go to a 6# lower, do the full exhaust, pick up a set of wheels & slicks for the back, and skinnies for the front, and of course, get the suspension set up. It's actually an easy formula, but I do it a bit differently than most "Lightning tuners" - for example, I don't mess with those Rancho off road bars and modify them to use them as a traction bar - you want the front to come up, but the back should not dip if the suspension is really set up right in a drag car. So it takes some stiffening in the rear with track links & good shocks, etc. Just give me a call and we can go over all of that, of course, whenever you like.
In the meantime, that was indeed a good time for F1's, and a great trap speed for what you have so far.
Thanks for the condolences, greatly appreciated.

Nice run man. That's almost a full second quicker than my HD for what sounds like very similar mods.
