Best tuner for towing

Sorry guys! I searched and didn't find the specific answer I wanted. Which tuner is the best for towing? I've been wanting the Edge but I didn't know if anyone had any suggestions from experience which tuner works best with towing medium to heavy loads. I will not be towing a whole lot but would like that extra boost when I need it. My only other "performance" mod is a Magnaflow dual exhaust. Please also list other performance mods (if they make a difference). Thanks in advance!

I use the EDGE Evolution on level 2 for towing my 6,500 lb. (actual) travel trailer. It improved the shifting immensely and the gauges are great for keeping track of the engine and transmission temperatures.

I second the SCT XCAL I use a custom 91 octane tune. I also have an CAI intake, exhaust, underdrive pullies and 4.56 gears and it tows like a champ..

Edge 2, XCAL 2 Any more suggestions to break the tie? Will an intake really make that much difference with a tuner and exhaust? Thought about just doing the Airraid Jr. b/c it's cheap and there is a thread with some approval in it.

If you tow any at all, you may find a replacement intake too noisy at higher RPMs while towing. I had to get rid of my AirForce 1 for that reason.

Edge 3, XCAL 3

Sounds like you can't go wrong either way.

Remember if you plan to do other mods the xcal is a better choice. You will be able to get emailed programs to adjust for any mods from Mike. That is not an option with Edge. They are not custom tunes for each persons configuration and driving needs but XCAL is.
