I just bought a new Edge Evo should i hook it up to the computer before i hook it up to my truck or will it make a difference

 

I think it would matter only if they have revisions since yours was manufactured that are important to you. Most of the revisions since June, 06 affect 2006 models. So I would guess that you are ok with not doing an update. When I got mine, I needed to update before installation. It can't hurt if you do update.

 

I have to disagree. You should hook up to your truck first, get your "hex code" to make sure it is matched from the edge to the truck, than go back and download any updates.

 

Be sure to return it to stock before the upgrade.
