Problem, possibly, after Xcal 2

When Im driving around town @ around 40 mph, I beleive it is in the 2nd or 3rd gear... When I cruise, and then go to hit the gas, it feels like there is "slack" in my driveshaft, it sort of jerks, then gets going. Also sounds like a clicking noise is coming from the tranny. (very faint noise, like a nail hitting a piece of metal, just 1 click, not a series of them.)

This only happens when the Xcal 2 tune is installed, ONLY with the performance tune, not the tow tune.

Is this normal? Is there something else wrong with my truck?

It is NOT the OD. It does it with and w/o the OD on.

When I first got my tune, I was also concerned about the jerking feeling but then I was told that this is how firm shift feels like. Firm shifting is good for the tranny, prevents slippage.

Now regarding the nail hitting a piece of metal, that might be your engine pinging. Make sure you have the right octane (premium).

No, the metal sound is coming Staight up from the transmission... RIGHT next to the transfer case is where I can hear it. It is not my engine pinging, im 100% positive. It sounds like gears that are clicking together.

The slack isnt between the shifts, its after the shift, when i hit the gas.

Thanks though
