got my edge today

got my new edge today and have only tried it on level 2 and i can say i'm really pleased with the improvments and love the new passing gear and takeoff power.I'm ready to try level 3 but i currently have 87 octane in my tank about 1/4 tank so how low do i have to run it before i can fill up with 93 and change it to level 3 and also will there be as much of a change from level 2 to level 3 as there was between stock to level 2. thanks for all your help.

When your Low Fuel light comes on you can fill up with 93 and you’ll be all set

You will notice a difference. For one thing level 3 shifts harder and the exhaust has a different tone. Do a 0-60 on level 2 then do it on level 3 and you be the judge. I will never go back to level 2. WOT settings will make the biggest difference. I found these to be the best settings for WOT: 1-2 5300 rpm, 2-3 5300 rpm, 3-4 5000 rpm. Set the Rev Limiter to 5700 rpm. Read my signature for all my settings. I just did a 0-60 at 7.2 seconds with current settings.

Yes....change this for shift points "STD Shift" to the following: 1-2: +2, 2-3: +5, 3-4 +5. I have been playing with this setting since I got the Edge back in February. +2 is perfect IMO for 1-2 (first to second gear).

Silverfish, I am running almost identical settings, the main difference, I have not adjusted the STD shift points. I may try that. I need to go back to stock to have it inspected in November. Going to be interesting to see the difference. Mine was a dog when I bought it, had serious lag problems. Got the dealer reflash and it actuall ran pretty good after that. The only reason I got the Edge was the gauges and curiosity. The main difference in my stock and Level 2 is the shifting. Level 3 is much stronger.

Not hijacking this thread or anything...but I am wondering since I also am running level 3 with 91 octane "and will never go back"

When having warranty work and after resetting the PCM to stock, do you guys also put 87 octane gas in the tank or let it run "hot" with premium gas?

Since you need some drive cycles on the stock program, I plan on converting to stock, filling up with 87 octane and drive it for a week or 2 before I take it in. I usually fill up every week, about 350 miles. My warranty runs out in about 500 miles, but I do not have any issues to get fixed. I took it in to the dealer for an oil change, had the Edge installed and they did not comment on it, but it is my understanding that you need to be in stock program for the inspection.

How do you know what to set the WOT Fuel at? I have mine at 1.4.

Leave the WOT Fuel default setting Edge has it at unless you have a CAI or performance muffler system installed. Bill at Edge said on level 3 with those two mods that 1.55 to 1.6 would be good.
