I mean seat of the pants "wow" i gotta have this or is it minimal over the edge..
In that case then, I think you should stick with what you have... While there is definately a difference between the 2, I don't think there's THAT much difference.

There should be a difference if you data log and dyno run everything. Other wise wouldn't it just be a little better then a canned tune. I have a question the edge web sight says that the edge will do data logging. Will this logging work for what is required by Troyer?

Nope.

You'd need A/F's, as well as approx a dozen 'no-load' and Load' PIDs/DMR's from the PCM in CSV or Excel format.

After all of that, the data still could not be used, since the tunes are canned and not adjustable to the extent needed.

I don't understand your answer. What he was asking is can the Edge be used to gather the data log data for Troyer to make adjustments to his Xcal2, if you have both units.

Ahhh - got it. Thanks for the catch.

Answer, is ... why bother, since the X2 already provides the high speed ( DMR) native datalogging ( minus the a/f's), in a format ( *.CSV) directly supportable by TP. And all the pc tools required that are required are available from SCT? Question as stated is a non-sequitur, IMHO.

PS - why'd you miss-spell my post in your quote?

Cheers

I have no idea how that happened. I guess a mouse malfunction or an "old guy " malfuntion. That is a little strange.
