Will a superchips 1714 work in my 05?

Soo im really on the fence on getting the Xcal2 from troyer on the group buy sooo....

A guy on the boards is willing to let me borrow his superchips 1714 from his 2004 f-150 for a few days to try. But the question is will it work on my 05? I just want to make sure before i screw up my computer system. I think if it would work in my truck i could get an idea of how much a tuner awakens these 5.4's....

The Superchips Micro Tuner 1714 are for 04’s only and the 1745 are for 05’s; you would need a 1745

These trucks turn into monsters with proper tuning. I have the blue superchip for the older models and my truck was a whole new animal. TP's tuning has seen gains of up to twice what those blue superchips gained. There's never gonna be a better time than now to order, just go for it. You won't be disappointed. If you're still unsure, just read through the tuners/programmers section of all the comments on the Xcal2. No mod you can do that will get you the same bang for your buck as TP's tunes.
