question about tuners???
question about tuners???
I've been thinking about getting a TP tuner....I've got an '06 F150 Scab with a 5.4 and 3:55 ls rear end....no other performance mods...My first question is...how easy is the install? I know nothing about these computer operated trucks and this really concerns me....I'd hate to screw something up
..
second question....is it worth the $$, can you really feel the difference?
Any comments on this subject would really be welcomed....

I’ve been using Mike’s custom tuning on my 04 Screw since 12-03-04 and IMO it’s a great bang for the buck performance mod, safe, ultra easy to use and superior customer service. A complete package that is well worth the cost

I've been running my Troyer Tunes for about the same length of time... not quite as long. I'm very happy with the money that I've spent with TP and have always felt like a valued customer. It's money very well spent to help wake up your truck.
Definitely do some searching. You'll find several posts with others' experiences with Troyer. Also, feel free to give them a call and ask any questions that you may have. When you have them on the phone, be sure to mention that you're a f150online.com member and you will recieve the 'members only' pricing.
Enjoy! RP
Ditto to all the comments.
As for ease...you simply plug it in to the interface under the steering wheel column, backup the current program and download the new one. Takes about 5 minutes.

I've had my tunes for about 3 months and it has been the best investment I've made for my truck. Mike's tunes were right on. Been using the 89 perf tune, but now I'm getting ready to up my tune to the 91 perf tune. Can't wait. You should go for it, you'll love it!

AS I guess you can already see, there are a lot of people who rave about our work - we specialize in this platform, so we are rather well known for our results.
If there is anything you would like to go over in detail, please don't hesitate to call us on this - you will love what our tuning does for your truck, they respond very well to proper performance tuning - we provide you with a set of 3 different tunes, so that you can have pure performance tunes, towing-capable tuning, tunes for different level of octane, etc., whatever works best for your individual needs & desires.
Thanks for your post, & I hope we hear from you - and good luck with your new truck, too!
