I seem to be having a problem running L3 on my 2006, 5.4L. On L2, everything seems to run correctly, however, when switching to L3 and using 93 octane, I seem to get a shudder and the engine doesn't seem to be running as smoothly as normal. I have upped the timing on the Edge by 1.00, but this makes it worse. Anyone else having this problem?

 

Have you updated lately? Think Edge had an update to cure the shudder problem not to long ago

 

One of the BETA updates readdresses the shudder in Level3 for certain trucks. Some trucks experience this, others dont

 

How do I get a beta update? I have all the latest versions for the EVO designed for a 2006 F150 with 5.4L.

 

BETA updates should be available when you do a regular update using the Lightning software. v20 is Firmware BETA and v21 is Calibration BETA.
