HELP! Which One???

Ive been lurking around here for a while now trying to figure out which tuner I want to get and I still can't decide. I need some "experts" (that would be you all) to help me.
Ok, I have a 05FX4 Super Cab. Ive got a Air Raid Jr, Magnaflow SIDO, and a KN drop in.
Here is what I am looking for.......
- Better throttle response (already been reflashed, that helped, but not enough)
- Better shifting
- I tow a 19ft bass boat once a week (140mile round trip) so more power towing would be nice (not that its bad right now)

Im not that concerned for "speed" per say. A little more acceleration would be nice, but, its a truck, not a mustang.
Ive been looking at the Edge and XCAL2. I like the Edge because it can tell me the MPG, Temps and all that stuff. However, from what I have read, people seem to be having a problem.
I havent seen that many problems with the XCAL2............

So what do you guys think?

BTW- yes, I did use the "search" Im looking for info specifically for my truck...... Thanks!

Id go with the Xcal 2 since it is specifically for your truck and you can get tow tunes and such. (not sure if edge does tow tunes)

Well I admit I'm biased but I'd recommend the XCAL2.

I've had my XCal 2 for 4 weeks now and I love it. The 89 max tune from Troyer is exactly what my truck needed to overcome the lethargic acceleration that it had stock.

The Edge seems to be good too, but the Troyer tunes are awesome, IMHO

Good luck in what ever you decide.

I can honestly say that either one would be a great step up from factory. I got the Edge but Troyer does great work as well. I opted to go for the Edge specifically for the monitor. I just loaded the 89 tow tune and it is very very very sweet compared to stock. You will be amazed how fast it makes the truck. I think you should get them both. Load the Xcal 2 tunes and used the Edge to monitor. I like the Edge myself b/c you can use it more but .........either way you go is good

I wish I could afford both. Isnt the XCAL around 500$ and the EDGE around 400$?
Sounds like the XCAL2 is the way to go though.
Final question, does anyone know of dyno #s for these tunes?
Thanks for all the help!

I got the edge for 343 at discountpowerparts.com. The XCAL2 i have no idea about. Search and you will find alot of numbers for both of these. The vote is probably split 50/50 if you tally everyone on here.

Better hope you did not buy your truck recently as they have not loaded the latest hex codes yet and they > edge will not commit to whe they might.
If not too late I would cancell and get the xcal and let troyer build a program for you.
If I had it to do over agin this is what I would do.
godd luck.

Most of the members here are bias towards the SCT X Cal 2 because one of the site's main sponsors is a distributor...I'll give you an unbias opinion...

I'd get the X Cal 2...
