Should I return the truck to the stock tune before doing any updates?

Yes, I do believe you do have to return the truck back to the stock program before updating it.

Actually you wont lose your stock tune. If you take the programer out of the vehicle without returning it back to stock, you will get a message on the computer asking you to return it back to stock before proceeding with the update.

ok so i will update it right out of the box. Are there istructions that come with the kit that make this easy to understand? and does it come with necesarry wiring? sorry if i seem alittle paranoid. its just because i kinda am. Messing with a trucks computer kinda has me feeling uneasy...but im so pumped for the result\
thanks

I felt the same way when i orderd about a month ago for my 05. It comes with cable and instructions, you should update first as someone else has stated. I had no problems and am running Level 3. It is a blast.
