edge evolution

Well I jumped on the band wagon and ordered my edge yesterday. From all the things I have been reading, I cant wait to try it out. I have to questions for whom ever can answer them. I have read that a few people have also changed out there serp belt with the gator belt. I am thinking about doing this as well, reasons being serp belt slipping with new tuning? I also was wondering if anyone has color matched there cradle to go with the camel interior? and if so what paint did you use.

thanks in advance.

Mike

I doubt that you will have any belt slippage. Have put Edge on 2 trucks with no slippage. Do a search on the subject of painting the Edge pod, several have done this mod.

Yeah I did the search but no luck, found another post someone else asking the same question, but no luck on anyone finding a matching color.

I went to AID Auto And bought an interior paint that was very close in color then a clear coat that made it almost perfect. I also painted my Xlt center console. I have to learn how to post pics.

well i got my gatorback belt on and my edge in. I like it. I like it alot.
I get a little whine from the gatorback, sounds kinda supercharged. lol.

I updated my edge with the latest firmware version 17, calilbration version 18. put it in the truck and programed level 2 in, and took it for a drive. I can say, just driving it I can tell a slight better reponse in the way my truck performs. I am going to run level 2 for a while.

It does have a little more getty up, I can tell the difference between the programer and the pcm update ford did awhile back.

I know everyone likes level 3 but gas in my area is sucking right now 3.30 for 93 octane.

How well do you know your Ford parts guy? I went directly to Ford for my paint but instead of ordering from a part number, they asked to colour match something from the interior so I gave them my speaker "grille" from the door panel and they made a small batch a perfect match and it didn't cost me a dime.
