Returned Superchips 1815
Just returned my superchips tuner that I bought about 3 weeks ago, I have heard of the results of the XCal2 and decided to go with it instead. Back to stock for me for awhile. But, for the XCal 2, how do you get it custom tuned? My understanding is that when you order it, you basically tell them what you have had done to your truck and they tune it specifically for your modifications? Also, if this is true in the first place (which I'm not so sure thats how it works) how do I get it tuned again in the future, say for the headers I'm thinking of getting soon, etc? Thanks for the help.

This is how I did it. I called Troyer Performance and had a consolation with Mike about what I wanted and expected from custom tuning. Then I filled out the “Custom Program Worksheets” that were emailed to me and then waited until Mike built them (87-octane performance, 93-octane tow & 93-octane max performance were the tunes I requested)
As far as future changes go, headers etc, they are emailed to you and you load them yourself using LiveLoad, a software program you download from the SCT web sight. It’s a very simple process

The easiest way to get all of that info is to call us directly, as it's just too much detail to type it all out here.
In brief - we tune each vehicle individually based on it;s modifications and how the vehicle owner uses their vehicle, etc.
Now if you happen to do modifications in the future that would actually cause a NEED to have changed made to the tuning, then we simply update that and send it to you via email - it's a very easy process.
You probably need more accurate info on what types of mods do and do not require custom tuning changes for your particular vehicle, so that you have a good feel for that - so for that info and any other details, please feel free to call us at our number listed below & we'll be happy to help.
