Ive been tring too update the edge to no good ,and I also called tech suport no help there either ,I was with hime for about a hour he finaly said I should go use another computer anyHELP PLEASE THANKS

 

Me is the worst operating system. I had it on my old pc and it gave me problems with everything.

 

05 is right ME is a bastardized OS and should be replaced.


However, you haven't given any ideas as to what the problem is.

 

I downloaded the driver for the Evo three times no good even when the edge is hooked up the lightning says disconnected this little square pops up--Communications Time Out on Com O. Pleas Check port settings and retry--Server Access Failed , Unabled to locate the update Version file .This is usually caused during server maintenance or when files are being updated Pleas try agian later ,BUT Teck said theres no maintenance He walked me through I think everything

 

Make sure all your virus protection and fire walls are off.

 

I have Norten and yes it was turned off ,Teck and I tried everything I think

 

ME really stood for Mostly Excrement. Win 98 and ME have been declared 'End of Life' by Microsoft and there are existing vulnerabilities in them that MS will never fix because they are no longer supported. Time to upgrade to linux or XP.

The Problem is ,that it was showing COMP0 there is no compo its 1-5 so I had to go too my freinds too do the update. BUT I still cant get what some has said that they have is MPG ,Tech told me I will get it on the update OO WELL

 

It also sounds like you could have a slow internet connection. The download might be too big to transfer efficiently before the connection time out. Maybe the connection would be better another time? Although I have heard many bad things about ME too, sorry.

 

Upgrade to Windows XP xVersion. It will solve your Edge software problems and more than likely other problems you have that arent worth mentioning.

 

I had a similar problem trying to update my edge on my home computer with XP. It kept telling me the EDGE was disconnected, but it was connected. I stayed on the phone with tech support for 45 minutes. Eventually I went get my laptop and everything worked fine. I still cannot update with my desktop.

 

Of all the programs that I have this is the only problem that I have had ,cross my fingers .
