A question about the 1714....

I'm looking to buy a superchips 1714 from a guy through the classified section. He bought it in October of 2004 and is getting rid of it. My truck is an 04 but I got a reflash done last fall with the latest tune from Ford. My question is will the tuner recognize the reflash I had done? I don't know if this is a stupid question or not. I'm assuming that I now have the same factory tune as the 05's and early 06's have. Should I be looking at a 1745? Is it only the year of the truck that determines which tuner to get or the reflash? I hope this made sense.

Thanks fellas.

"He bought it in October of 2004"

This 1714 was made before Oct. 2004

"I got a reflash done last fall with the latest tune from Ford."

It is impossible that a reflash written in early 2005 would be included in a Tuner made in 2004. However, to be sure you can call Superchips.

Hopefully the dealer put a "sticker" on the truck when they did the reflash. Have that info handy when you call Superchips.

Good Luck

Get the original paperwork & sales receipt that came with the 1714 in case you have to send it to Superchips for updating
